National Prayer Day

I wanted to let everyone know this Thursday May 1 is National Prayer Day. Let's make sure we say a few extra prayers for our little Carson. Hopefully everyone who reads this will spread the word so we can have hundreds(maybe thousands) of prayers going out for Carson. Thank you! Every little bit helps!!

New Home

We moved this weekend! Carson gets a bigger room! We put Carson in the master suite in the sitting room. I will get a pic of his new pad up soon. Thanks you all that helped out moving us over to the bigger house. The move went smooth. The house is about 6 blocks away from the other house. A much bigger lawn! I might have to find a riding lawn mower so Carson and I can mow the lawn together.

Ornery little boy...

All is well on the home front! Nana watched Carson for a little while on Wednesday night and he decided to be an ornery little grandson! He gave Nana a hard time with his night time medicine and bottle and then the minute his Mom got home and held him...he chowed down the whole thing! Isn't that what grandsons are supposed to do...give their Nana a hard time? I'm sure he thought it was a fun game! We might also be getting into some separation anxiety or Mommy attachment...I guess that is pretty normal for being 8-9 months old. Nana informed Sarah she was quite attached at the same age.

DNA results

Jeff and I had a follow up appointment with the Genetics department at Children's Mercy. We learned that I am not a carrier of Menkes. This means that Carson is truly one of a kind. We also learned more about Carson's specific mutation, although it does not change anything. Our future with Carson is still very much unknown...the doctors can only guess what may come. Today's events have not faltered our trust and belief in God, we still ask him to grant us another miracle. Our first miracle was in receiving Carson, our second one is to ask that God completely heal him, so we can have him the rest of our lives.

Appointment

Sarah and Jeff have a meeting with the Geneticist on Tuesday to discuss Sarah's blood results and more details on Carson. Please say a few extra prayers for them as tomorrow will be an emotional day. We are faithful in God's plan and know he is watching over the Bowman's.

We have had a rough couple of days. Carson has had some break through seizures that has made him very sleepy all the time. The seizures have also been interrupting his sleep at night. With as much as Carson has been growing and gaining weight, this is most likely why we are seeing seizures. The Dr increased his meds today...we hope this will take care of the seizures.

Things are not all bad...Carson was very glad to see his Aunt Kari, he even showed her his smile and giggled for her. All if this was just as we were getting ready to take a bath. Oh yeah I guess I should add...as I was holding my naked boy (when he was giggling and smiling) he of course made a huge wet spot, covering my shirt!!! Every one got a kick out of it...we should have taken a picture! (maybe next time)

Dad is telling me all about the baseball game on TV...I am learning all the ins and outs.
I decided I wanted to watch some TV so Mom gave me the remote...let's see what good cartoons I can find!

Carson had a good weekend just hanging out and playing. The Bowman's had some family pictures done over the weekend and they turned out pretty cute. A few of Carson sleeping in the cutest poses and others of all three together...so cute! A very beautiful family in deed!

They are looking foward to company coming from Iowa this weekend...Gpa and Gma Bowman, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Carson is in for quite a fun filled weekend with lots of hugs, kisses, and love.

Carson is just growing like a weed...I hadn't seen him for about a week and he seems to have grown so much. His hands look bigger and he is getting longer by the minute! He has some new "big boy" pajamas and he just looks too cute! We will have to get some pictures of him in those and post them soon.

Our little fish

Carson was in a fabulous mood today...full of smiles and giggles. Sneaking in smiles whenever he could...he just filled the house with happiness today, but then again he does everyday! Aunt Becky was over for a bit and helped video Carson swimming in the tub tonight. As you can see, his legs go crazy in the water! How fun...he loves it! He definitely burned a lot of energy swimming and wolfed down his evening bottle and settled down for a good nights sleep.

Keep up the prayers! WE BELIEVE!!!

We had fun blowing bubbles the other day...these bubbles are the best and last forever! You can find them a few days later still stuck to the carpet or chair...bubbles from Gymboree.
